We've been back from California for a couple weeks now, and I haven't gotten around to posting about it! It was truly too quick of a trip, and Mike and I vowed to make a more laid-back visit soon. Next time it will be a true vacation!
This visit, we were in town for Mike's best friends wedding. It was a beautiful wedding at the Ritz in Laguna Beach, and Mike and I spent most of our time in the area. It was great to escape the insane heat of Texas for a couple days, and enjoy the cool breezes and beachy atmosphere. If you never had to leave the 5 mile radius of Laguna Beach, California would be the best place to live. However, only 1% of the population can do that...and everyone else is on the freeway trying to get somewhere else, and fast!
I didn't take nearly enough pictures from our visit, probably because it was such a whirlwind weekend! But here are some that I was able to capture.

Saturday was the best day of our trip. After we spent the morning down at the beach with Kenley, we met Tracy and Staci at Wahoo's for a much missed Maui Bowl! Then us girls spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool at the Ritz (thank you to Grandma Shelly and Papa Steve for that! :) Mike had to go fulfill his Best Man duties with Pat, so we drank Strawberry Basil margaritas and swam and lounged by the pool! It was wonderful!
Our last day there, Staci and Andy hosted a BBQ for all our J.Crew friends. Again, they went above and beyond for our little visit, and we had a great time introducing Kenley to the crew.
Luckily, Andy and Jaymi took some of these family photos, or else we would have barely any! I really need to get better at taking pictures when we are out with family and friends. Maybe next time when we actually have time to relax and hang out, we can do that.
It was so great to see family and friends, and we hope to get back out there again soon to see you all again...although, you may have to come visit us, cause we're staying down by the beach! :)
